Brucan Pubs are delighted to reopen this much loved local pub in the bustling village of Witley.
Whilst food is undoubtedly the main feature, The Star has a relaxed drinking bar with roaring fires in the winter, rotating cask ales, perfectly curated wine lists and a warm welcome assured.

    We walked in the area and were very pleased to have found The Star. On entering the pub we felt it was special and were not disappointed. Food, service and overall ambiance was excellent. We will definitely be back.

    Attentive service, manager made the birthday celebration extra special by providing birthday treats. Amazing food and being accommodative with allergy requests.

    Having visited the Star soon after it opened we were very disappointed but on Sunday we came with friends and the transformation was amazing. Everything was completely different with attentive staff and excellent food of generous proportions and served quickly. We will definitely be back!

    Friendly staff, clean and attractive setting great food. The Wed - Fri set menu always seems to have good choices. And the staff take care of you which makes the whole experience pleasant.

    First visit but certainly not the last! Will return with friends soon. The lunch menu was great value and the food delicious

    I have found The Star to be hit and miss. I have had some great Sunday Roasts there and some not so great. Last Sunday was not so great - the chicken looked more boiled than roasted, the veg was on VERY al dente and the roast potatoes were dissapointing. Sadly I wont be returning as I have had better roasts in the area to risk this again
