    Pub garden is lovely with loads of flowers out in bloom. Surprisingly quiet. Food fair, not as good as both previous times. Staff polite and welcoming.

    Atmosphere was good, staff friendly and price ok, after applying the 20% discount. The summer greens could have done with more cooking. Donna and Lily provided excellent service and the surprise birthday brownie was a lovely touch.

    Really lovely lunch in pretty garden.. as always staff all very charming and amusing… all the courses we had were delicious!

    Lovely pub. Amazing food, every time I go the food has been outstanding, so far above any other pub food I have experienced. Staff are lovely and it’s a very nice calm atmosphere. Would highly recommend to anyone.

    A verywarm welcome at the door. Excellent manageress and staff. The cuisine is first class. The fish dishes were fresh, cooked to perfection and with outstanding taste and presentation. Really impressed with the care, attention and very professional staff. As we left every staff member bid us farewell and thanked us for coming. Many restaurants can learn from The Star.

    The roast dinner is amazing. Very generous portions. Well presented and not all piled on the plate. Staff very attentive without being overbearing.

    Hi, Very friendly with good intentions but disjointed on staffing, needs to know the menu better and serve wine with the meal, not afterwards. Menu had lots of good choice and some good cookery from the kitchen.

    We walked in the area and were very pleased to have found The Star. On entering the pub we felt it was special and were not disappointed. Food, service and overall ambiance was excellent. We will definitely be back.
