   Very noisy, staff not attentive, we booked a table. They didn’t welcome and say we’ll be back to take your order…. Had to ask to order food. Ordered a burger and chicken cesar salad, egg over cooked. Underwhelmed! Cost almost £50 for 2 people - not good value for money.

   Booked a table and was seated. Sunday meaning it was roast dinner menu. We ordered drinks and wasn’t told there was nothing left. When the girl who was nice come over to take our order the kitchen had ran out of everything leaving us with a choice of fish and chips or a burger. We paid for our cokes and left. I don’t think we should’ve been seated and sat with a drink to then be told they had hardly nothing left.

   The food was lovely but my husband had half a pint of Cheshire Cat beer and it had a finger nail in it which he had to spit out. This is a place we go to regularly and this has not happened before.

   We come to Bowdon from London every few months and we make a trip to The Stamford every time we’re there for a family lunch / dinner. The food is exceptional, really very good and super fresh (especially the roast). The staff are always very friendly, nothing is too much trouble and the regulars are friendly and welcoming.

   Great find close to Dunham Massey. Lovely pub with great food and excellent portions. We visited at lunchtime and took advantage of their lunchtime deal which was great value for money. Very dog friendly with treats and fresh water freely available. Highly recommended.

   Food lovely Service slow.. asked for dessert menu and they didn’t come over for 20 minutes so we just paid the bill instead of ordering one Asked if they have crayons for kids and the lady says no and walked off then I see an area they have games you can bring to the table for kids why not mention that when I asked about crayons Service needs to be better then this place would be spot on

    Very nice meal and everyone enjoyed the food. The service was okay but no check back, had to chase them down to get drinks, cutlery and sauces. Nothing major but it was fairly quiet, no real reason for that. Didn’t deserve the 12% service charge they add on.
