The staff were very attentive but at times overbearing interrupting conversations and asking too frequently if we wanted to place an order for mains or deserts. When one of us asked for a glass of wine to a company the meal, it was forgotten about until we asked again after the steak had been consumed. All fine, just a matter of learning pace, timing and tempo. All in all a very fine evening was shared with friends. We would definitely go back.

The roasted and raw cauliflower tasted of nothing. My niece's fish and chips was good as was her husband's ravioli. I shan't be going in there again.

Pork was very dry and then exchanged it for the end bits of Sunday roast. 🤨

From welcome to departure, we had a splendid evening. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable, welcoming and carried out their duties to perfection. Drinks and menu items were explained clearly, and more than matched their description. Excellent bitters. Lucky Saint zero lager a great alternative. Lovely crémant as well. Super bottle of Valpolicella Classico to go with our food - our young server was an excellent source of information about the wine list. And on to the food - every dish was superb. Devilled kidneys on sourdough - yum. Garlicky herbed prawns - outstanding. Watermelon and feta salad - delicious. Sea bass on a fennel salad was cooked to perfection. Taleggio filled ravioli were excellent. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the sauces outstanding. Fries and chips were to die for, as wee the carrot and cauliflower sides. Chocolate mousse, ice creams and the cheeseboard were fitting ends to a cracking meal. Every member of staff is a credit to the excellent management and training that clearly pervades every aspect of this restaurant. This is an excellent restaurant in every way. I cannot recommend it more highly.

We ate here with our 6 year old granddaughter. We both had the fish and chips which was delicious. Crispy batter and beautiful flaky fish. Our granddaughter had the penne pasta. She didn’t much of it as I let her fill up on a fizzy drink. ( naughty nanny ) She wanted ice cream for dessert and they very kindly gave her a really small portion. The gentleman front of house you are fantastic at what you do. All the staff here were excellent and we would certainly return. Thank you.

We booked as a last minute dinner reservation. Upon entering to leaving my husband and I and our 2 children were made to feel so welcome. The waiter was so attentive nothing was too much trouble for him. The atmosphere in the place was lovely and we will definitely return when we are next in the area. Almost forgot to mention the wine and food were amazing too!!
