Housed in a 17th century converted stable barn with exposed beams, inviting log burner and secluded courtyard garden adorned with festoon lighting, The Stables exudes personality and warmth as well as offering a delicious all-day dining menu fit for any foodie. Our menu celebrates everything British & features classic dishes such as locally sourced Charcuterie, seared Scottish Scallops, homemade breads, British Beef Burgers & our signature Sticky Toffee Pudding. Al Fresco Dining is also available in our secluded courtyard garden - large parasols and patio heaters will be provided outdoors in case of any inclement weather. I visited the Stables with my husband to celebrate and congratulate him on a great achievement. Beforehand, I wasn’t sure that The Stables would be the right setting to celebrate but I couldn’t have been more wrong, it was perfect. The food was scrumptious. The young lady who delivered our food was very attentive. In fact, a few of the beautiful ladies checked that we were taken care of. So, it’s an easy decision for me to give a top grade to The Stables and equally easy to say that we will be back soon!

Delicious Birthday lunch with really attentive staff. The food was cooked to perfection. We had a three year old with a diary allergy and an adult with learning difficulties who was quite fussy and it was dealt with perfectly.

We waited 30 minutes to get menus and/or even a drink… but we ended up, after asking the same sever 3 times…. getting drinks at the bar ourselves. The service was non existent…. yet we were charge for service. I asked for the bill but yet again I had to go up to the bar to pay. I ask for the service to be taken off but the staff didn’t know how to do this??!! …. Really?? The DJ played night club music on full pelt, booming sound… we couldn’t hear ourselves speak. We booked because the restaurant advertised a saxophonist at summer solstice event not an Ibiza party night! Very dissatisfied customer!

We booked for the DJ and sax evening to celebrate the summer solstice and it was super. It had a really good holiday vibe and we enjoyed watching the cocktails being made. The pizzas were tasty too. If they do another event I recommend booking early, we saw them turning people away. They had made it so that it was "lively" but not busy, every table had space.

Took a while to get served but they were busy. Our pizzas tasted great but had half the ingredients missing, without any explanation. We were overcharged on our bill which we only discovered after we’d left. CHECK YOUR BILL!

Amazing wood fired pizza tonight. We had some margarita pizzas straight from the oven that were hand made before our very eyes!

The food was ok but the service was very bad. They completely forgot about our mains and later on our drinks. The place was very nice, it’s a pity.

The advert email which I received for Father’s Day, took me through to a general booking which seemed to confuse staff. We had booked the stables but were shown into the main hotel where it looked tired and run down. The room had no ambience! We were then taken to the stables restaurant and shown to our seat. The manager was very helpful but the confusion had spoilt things. Our waiter was pleasant, tentative and helpful. Food was mediocre and there was little ambience. To be honest, I wish I’d stayed at home.

Really interesting trio of starters this week which made a nice change. I still think that the scallops are the best option and that the pork terrine is too filling to follow up with a main, but I really enjoyed the change.
