Although the food was lovely, we were seated at a table in the lobby next to the doors. Too high traffic of an area for a cozy tea. Wedding party people and too many people taking photos all around us. It was all very distracting. For $130 pp they should have a tea room or somewhere where you can enjoy an afternoon without constant stream of people passing you.

A fantastic way to enjoy tea and conversation in the afternoon. The tea, small bites, and service were all extraordinary on spot. A exceptionally well done offering from the St. Regis D.C.

Took my 91 year old grandmother to have tea and it was absolutely wonderful! The service, the seasonal tea, and the goodies were lovely. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

The good was good not great and you’re basically having tea in their lobby….a very nice lobby but it’s still strange that you’re having afternoon tea in the lobby. The wait staff was ok but not very warm.

We were very impressed with this experience! The tea was at a table in the lobby! This lobby has a lot of atmosphere, very fancy! There were two wedding parties moving around for pictures, but the noise level was good and not intrusive! Service was wonderful, kind & super polite! We thoroughly enjoyed the champagne, tea, scones & all the sandwiches & trimmings! Great job, St Regis!

The St Regis signature tea blend was perfect. We accompanied it with champagne as well. The savories were creative. The chutney and beef bites were most notable. With the sweets the lemon curd and blueberry scone was a perfect combination, but all were subtle and delicious. Very relaxing environment in the window of the hotel.

Unfortunately our afternoon tea experience was not very good. The tea is held in the lobby so people who are checking in are standing right next to your table while you enjoy your tea. Additionally, the service wasn’t good and we had to ask multiple times for things like milk, utensils, and water. Also, because it’s the lobby there were several mosquitoes flying around and both me and my daughter were bitten. I’ve been to several teas in the area. This was one of the more expensive ones in the area and it’s just not really worth it when compared with some of the other area hotel teas.
