The Springwood can be summed up effectively as a neighborhood restaurant, whose values, regarding the menu, focus greatly on locally sourced ingredients, hyper-seasonality, regenerative farming practices and minimizing waste.

The restaurant is the brainchild of local entrepreneurs Matthew Simpson (Chef) and Jasmine Lee (General Manager). Partners in business and in life since 2007.

To further their knowledge of the Hospitality industry they made their way to Downtown Toronto, where they were able to hone their crafts working in upscale and well-known restaurants for nine years. The end goal was always assured though, that they would come back to the town that gave them their start and help bring a special space to the place that they grew up.

As you make your way inside, you will be met with warm wood, lush plant life and funky art deco accents. We want this space to feel as though you are stepping into our home and we welcome you all to Come Over for Dinner.

Another great meal at Springwood. As always, the quality and taste was superb. We look forward to returning and trying their fall menu.

One of my most favourite restaurants as the food is outstanding, and the staff are first class. It’s an incredible food experience that you have to try. .

This is a hidden gem in Whitby. If you are foodie, this is a great place to try. The chef is right there creating the meals, and the staff are very knowledgeable about the menu and the ingredients. This not your run-of-the-mill bistro. It was a moderately expensive dinner, but it was worth every penny. The wine list was exclusively Ontario wine and that is a bit difficult if you have strong preferences for wine.

The Springwood was such a unique experience. We had their blind tasting menu and everything was presented and prepared with care, passion and elegance.

As usual, the meal was outstanding- food was superb with new menu items. We enjoy our culinary experience each time we are there! Clearly one of the best restaurants in the Toronto area!

Very low key location, but excellent food and a vibrant atmosphere inside. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Recommended.
