At The spring inn, we believe that if something is worth doing, it’s worth doing right. Whether you’re enjoying our signature braised short rib of beef pie, or starting your meal with our smoked salmon starter, every dish is crafted with an emphasis on taste and quality from the lighter lunch menu to our à la carte. Our Head Chef ensures that the kitchen consistently delivers exceptional dishes, using the freshest, locally sourced ingredients. And, of course, our Sunday Roast is a must-try. Choose from four delicious roasts, each served with all the traditional trimmings. Not to forget, we offer a kids menu with delicious options for our younger guests. We also offer vegetarian and gluten-free options to suit different dietary needs. When it comes to desserts, we have something for everyone. Lovely attentive staff, great roast, could have been hotter but very tasty! It was a nice quiet afternoon enjoying good food.

The place is tired and very dirty looking with no ambience. The food is very basic especially given the price and low on flavour. We had main courses and didn’t finish them as they weren’t good. The staff didn’t know the menu very well and the simplest of drinks order needed an explanation and clarification. The staff came across as bored and fed up. Definitely will not be baiting again and wouldn’t recommend.

Good food and large portions. Overall a good experience but service wasn’t brilliant. Although lovely waiting staff there were confused orders, clearing tables midway through courses etc. Hope this can be resolved as it’s a lovely spot and good food.

Repeat visitor. Friendly Staff, Good Food and Reasonably Price. Will be back again for Lunch! :0)

The food was lovely, the staff worked hard but there were too few staff so waiting was quite long. Aside from the wait, we had a lovely meal.

Can’t fault the food. Staff. Either inexperienced, lazy, or both. Waited for food, waited for table clean down, gave up on trying to order puds. Seating disgustingly dirty, as all the doors from restaurant to toilets, blocked urinal and a stinking poo mani in a cubicle. A ‘discretionary 10% tip added on bills. If you really think your staff chatting at the end of the bar instead of waiting tables is ok, add it into the menu costing and pay them properly, or better still get skilled waitrons.

A relaxed atmosphere with good food and service. Decor is in need of cleaning and the loos definitely need refreshing but otherwise we had a nice lunch.

Food was ok. Large portions and very tasty. However, the customer service was awful!! Waiting ages to be served. Food came then it was like we didn’t exist. Had to ask for more drinks. Staff walked round an a daze. Waited ages for our table to be cleared from plates and 2x 5 peoples drinks. It wasn’t busy so they can’t blame their poor customer service on that. I ended up taking the empty glasses back to the bar. We were left for 20 minutes hoping someone would offer us the desert menu. No one did. A lady walked in with her dog and the staff couldn’t be more attentive to that dog. Rushed around to get it water and fussing over it whilst us paying humans were ignored. A real shame this place has poor management and even more poor staff. So unless you have 4 legs, fur and a waggy tail don’t bother going here. A very rare meal out as a family was ruined. Waste of £130!!!
