Built during 2020 with a design to incorporate the countryside surroundings with their unique shepherds hut style, the four pods are a welcomed edition to the pub grounds. The pods offer an intimate private dining experience or a place for a boozy brunch. They are also a great place to book as a family or with friends. Pods are for exclusive use for parties over 5. Parties of 4 or under are welcome to book a pod but this may be shared with another party at busy times.

Amazing service. We booked a pod with our puppy 🐶 The staff were amazing. You can tell they love dogs as nothing was too big or small to help.

We booked a pod on a Sunday lunchtime for a family 95th birthday. It was a great choice as everything was perfect with great attention to detail. We were able to bring our own decorations and have the music turned off to accommodate people with hearing loss :) Great food, beautifully presented and lovely service. The Sunday lunch portions were massive and leftovers were kindly packaged for takeaway. The pub itself is lovely.

Disappointed that they ran out of fish, was given the option of scampi instead. Not much choice on the menu, so settled for a burger. Service is always good, never fault it.

Really good food and friendly service in the nice beer garden. We would have preferred not to have the music playing and the road was a bit noisy but generally a very nice spot for a sunny afternoon trip out as a family

The staff were all helpful and courteous. All the food was of good quality and served hot. An enjoyable Sunday lunchtime.

This was our second visit, a group of x work colleagues catching up. Booking a pod is great for us so we can feel like we have a private dining area, without anyone having to host. The first visit was better but we still had similar issues. When making the booking online I made it clear that we had one person who cannot have Lactose or Gluten. Despite making the booking well over a week before this seemed to be news to the kitchen and the wait staff. In addition it was specified that it was a birthday celebration (at booking) there was no acknowledgement of this. The food was nice and the dietary requirements were sort of managed. However I would expect the booking to have been looked at in advance of our arrival and consideration of adjustments given in advance. The offer seems great but the delivery isn't quite living up to it.

Hello What acknowledgement of a birthday would you have expected? You could have provided some balloons and decorations and we would have been happy to put these up, but you didn't ... not sure what could have been done... In terms of the dietary requirements, we regularly have people with allergies and intolerances, and a lot of dishes can be adapted to suit. We don't have a specific 'allergies menu' like some chain restaurants do, and again, I am not sure we could have done pre your visit to accommodate, as we usually do this on ordering. Apologies if it didn't seem clear to us Once again it is a shame that people feel inclined to go online anonymously and leave a 3 star review instead of talking to us on the evening when they were not satisfied. Oh well. Many thanks for the feedback

We arrived a little early after our walk, the young lady asked us for our drinks order but then didn’t know what was on tap! Also asked for water didn’t receive when we originally asked. Awaited an hour for our mains and was told they had a lot of walk ins but prebooked should be looked after first in my opinion. Now the food the pork and nut roast was amazing but 2 of the party decided to have the Tuna with the prawns both over cooked and bland. The desert order we ordered one crumble and one treacle but received 2 treacle puddings. Said we could have and they were Amazing then the crumble came out and not pleasant even though it was very pretty. If you go highly recommend the Roast but be prepared for a long wait such a shame
