Nestling beside Seaton green and just 50 yards from the beach, The Smugglers Inn is a family and dog friendly pub that prides itself on offering a traditional selection of classic pub fayre, cooked by our enthusiastic team of chefs, using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.

Along with the classics, we have a continually updated Specials Board where our chefs love to show their flare and creativity.

The highlight of our culinary week is undoubtedly our Sunday Carvery. Routinely described by our regular customers as ‘The best roast in the area’, with a selection of 3 roast meats, crispy roast potatoes, an amazing selection of 7 vegetables, plus homemade Yorkshire puddings and gravy, it is a truly sumptuous feast to end your week!

Vegetarians are also well catered for, with many of our dishes available with a vegetarian option, including our carvery which comes with TWO homemade vegetarian choices – a delicious nut roast and a vegan lentil roast.

Service with a big smile. Warm welcome by staff, we arrived a bit earlier than the table was booked for, but they relaid it quickly and accommodated us and had us sat, with drinks served within 10mins. Carveries all round. Good selection of well cooked meats, veg and huge yorkies. Table for 8 was a bit dark and cramped in the corner next to the admin. office. But all in all, a really enjoyable lovely Sunday lunch and pint! Dogs well catered for too - they got spoilt! Thank you.😊

We had the carvery and it was superb. A wide range of meats beef, turkey, gammon and pork to choose from, a good choice of veg and the best Yorkshire’s. We also paid for a doggy carvery which went down a treat with our Jack Russell a little tray of all the ends of the mixed meats. Amazing food, the staff were all super friendly and welcoming and it was so nice to have a Sunday carvery with our dog. Would definitely come back - also helps with a lovely dog friendly beach opposite where you can walk off your carvery afterwards!

Limited staff dealt well with people in the pub. Portions average size, warm, good pint. Not the cheapest but nice location and friendly staff.

The nicest Sunday Carvery I've had in the 5 years I've lived in Cornwall. All home made, piled my plate high and ate every last morsel...absolutely delicious

Service was quick to order food Waited 40 minutes for food, they pre-warned us it would take this long so no problem. Waited 45 minutes for our drinks, after I went up to the bar to ask where they were there had been a “printer error” so hadn’t received our order. Made our drinks promptly after this but still charged us fully which I felt was unacceptable. Drinks order was incorrect too, by this point we gave up as no staff around to help or flag down. They were very busy, clearly needed more staff. Disappointing.

We were made very welcome and all our needs were met efficiently. The meal was a special treat for my mother's 89th birthday and staff had taken trouble to decorate the table and write her a card. The food was excellent - including the dog's meal- and we were served quickly.
