Nestling beside Seaton green and just 50 yards from the beach, The Smugglers Inn is a family and dog friendly pub that prides itself on offering a traditional selection of classic pub fayre, cooked by our enthusiastic team of chefs, using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.

Along with the classics, we have a continually updated Specials Board where our chefs love to show their flare and creativity.

The highlight of our culinary week is undoubtedly our Sunday Carvery. Routinely described by our regular customers as ‘The best roast in the area’, with a selection of 3 roast meats, crispy roast potatoes, an amazing selection of 7 vegetables, plus homemade Yorkshire puddings and gravy, it is a truly sumptuous feast to end your week!

Vegetarians are also well catered for, with many of our dishes available with a vegetarian option, including our carvery which comes with TWO homemade vegetarian choices – a delicious nut roast and a vegan lentil roast.

Good food at a good price. Pub is fairly modern looking, ambience OK. Attentive staff. We go regularly

Service was quick to order food Waited 40 minutes for food, they pre-warned us it would take this long so no problem. Waited 45 minutes for our drinks, after I went up to the bar to ask where they were there had been a “printer error” so hadn’t received our order. Made our drinks promptly after this but still charged us fully which I felt was unacceptable. Drinks order was incorrect too, by this point we gave up as no staff around to help or flag down. They were very busy, clearly needed more staff. Disappointing.

We were made very welcome and all our needs were met efficiently. The meal was a special treat for my mother's 89th birthday and staff had taken trouble to decorate the table and write her a card. The food was excellent - including the dog's meal- and we were served quickly.

Not a great visit this time, service slow and it was very quiet plus one dish wasn't warm enough and another quite dry.

Overall a good experience great service from the staff and a fantastic atmosphere. Music outsides , good value food will definitely return .

Despite the look from the outside the inside was fine and the service and food great. They even do a dogs Sunday dinner tray.

We had the Sunday carvery for two adults and one child good choice of meats with crackling and Yorkshire puddings. Our son had fish and chips the food was lovely. The Service was great.

Visited 3 times during a weeks holiday and cannot fault this establishment. Started with a five star carvery on the Sunday (the beef was outstanding) and had two more visits where everybody enjoyed delicious food. Absolute gem of a place where all the staff are extremely welcoming and professional and even better, they look after your dog like a VIP. wish we had a pub like this back home. Thank you and hopefully see you again next year.
