Reservations are for food bookings only – all drinks are first come, first served.

Not trying too hard, not overly complicated, and EXACTLY what you are looking for; our menu is the fox's knees. We have got a great selection of Scottish beers on tap, and have recently created an extensive cocktail menu for you to sip on while you catch up with friends. From the kitchen, you can expect feel good pub dishes with a twist made from fresh, seasonal ingredients – we think yer granny would even approve!

Foxes might not be great at sports (it’s hard when you can’t even wear shoes) but that doesn’t stop us from watching all the big games! We have all Sky Sports & BT channels so can show everything from the Scottish Premiership & International Football to the Grand National and Wimbledon. Swing by, pull up a pew and catch all of the action.

Join us for a tree-mendous morning of festive family fun yule be sorry to miss! Santa will be here spreading Christmas cheer at his Grotto, giving the perfect opportunity for a festive photo op and his elf helpers will even be handing out presents to those on the 'nice list'. When: 1st, 8th and 15th December from 10 am to 2 pm-Santa will be visiting from 10:30am to 12:30 pm What's included...? Priced at £15per person, kids will receive a drink, a pancake stack with a choice of toppings, a present, AND a chance to meet Santa and his elves! Adults will receive a brunch dish per person, with filter tea & coffee. Please note that we will contact you in advance of your booking to help Santa provide age appropriate gifts for your little ones!

Excellent all round, staff were very hospitable, food & service was excellent, and my labrador was treated as well as I was! Will definitely be back!

Had to wait more than an hour before we could even order our food. Food did arrive after another 20 mins. They cited problems getting experienced chefs. Sympathise with any staffing issues, but not really our problem.

Very enjoyable evening in a lively bar. Tables were separated at the back, so plenty of room. Food was excellent and very good value for money. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Great food but service very slow from the kitchen, not from the waiting staff. Would be back loved the whole experience.

Apologies if it seemed the service was slow from the kitchen, I had a look back at the CCTV and it seems that starters and main courses were served in a manner that we would regard as timely for a busy Saturday afternoon (15-20 minutes.) Meeting relatives visiting from USA, chose the Smokin Fox after it was voted best pub in the Sunday Mail awards 2024. A well-deserved award! Service was from friendly and attentive team-members, who were there when we needed them and unobtrusive when we didn’t. Food quality and quantity was excellent - we all ate from the brunch menu; full Scottish and full Vegetarian were tasty, varied and filling. Avocado on toast and Scottish salmon were nicely sized portions and our guests said they were delicious too. Drinks included their own IPA - a delightfully fruity and quaffable beer! Overall, value was fab. Thanks for making our family reunion a pleasant experience, Smokin Fox folks…We’ll be back!

Went for something to eat before theatre. Staff excellent and extremely attentive. Food was delicious. Great place for a chat with friends with drinks and food.

Staff, food, drink choices are excellent, credit to the chef's we had steak pie and best I've ever had. I always recommend the Smokin Fox to my friends and family

Had a fantastic meal, it was my partner’s birthday and the staff treated him to a drink and birthday cake. It’s a great place to eat and drink and the staff are fantastic.

Great food and service as always. 3 of us opted for the shwarma my favourite, while one went for a burger. Although the burger went down very well I did detect a bit of shwarma envy.

Thank you for great feedback Frances, I must admit as much as I love our burgers I am also sold on Chicken Shawarma as my favorite dish on the menu. If you are feeling adventurous during your next visit make sure you get side of mac&cheese with naduja top up to go with your Shawarma - you will not be disappointed.
