The food we had was surprisingly good, the service was fast and excellent with a very professional and knowledgeable waiter. But the sound in this restaurant is maybe the worst I’ve ever experienced. They are in dire need of something to absorb the sound. It was so loud with a continuous high volume coming from every direction that conversation was challenging and I was hoarse at the end of the night from having to raise my voice to talk. Not a fun experience overall, although the food was great.

Waitress had the most amazing attitude. Bar was slow. Took 30 minutes to get an iced tea, none of us ever got refills. Food came out at different times and very slow. Shepard pie was average at best. The patty that had Terra was lucky. She was in it. Chocolate chip cookie is hard as a rock. This was my 4th visit but will think twice before returning.

The Smith has always been our go to brunch spot in NYC and DC. Unfortunately, the burger meat was burnt and the service was incredibly slow this time around. Hope our next experience will be better than this one.

Server Jeff was amazing! So friendly and attentive. Brunch food was good and cocktails were amazing. Love the espresso martinis.

Overall tasty and a great brunch date out without kids. Service was good but could have been better - we weren’t offered bread but upon asking the waiter apologized and brought it right away (though I didn’t realize it until our food had arrived. ) value is good if you want a cocktail as the meals are priced such that it comes with a drink - but if you don’t want one, it’s a little overpriced ($20 for an average sized omelette ?) bar service was slow as our drinks arrived after our food and only upon my asking. I would still go back but definitely some room for improvement

The restaurant was cold, and I mean cold atmosphere (the chairs were rock hard, the air was freezing). They were completely out of steaks except for the kid steak. Their peppercorn steak sauce tasted like antique furniture. The Smith burger two people in our party said was the most disgusting burger they ever had. This place was recommended to us but I would never recommend it to anyone.

Ill make this simple, the food was good but my biggest issue was with the service of the restaurant. The only reason I made my reservation was for my boyfriend's birthday and it was not acknowledged at all. I made sure to put in my reservation notes that it was his birthday and also mentioned to our server as she was taking our order. However at the end of our service and once l finished paying and gave over a 25 percent tip I asked our server what do they typically do for birthdays, and she replied with saying a dessert with a candle is usually brought out. I then mentioned again that it was his birthday and all she said was "Oh well I didnt know, sorry." This was very upsetting I was at least expecting for her to offer to pack the dessert to go but that or anything to possibly make it up did not come up in the conversation. So I don't recommend this place for a nice birthday dinner celebration.

Friendly service in a comfortable setting. Innovative cocktail menu. Food was top notch. Highly recommend the salmon tartar if for nothing else just for the rice cake they serve with it. Only knock is it is pricy. Expect to pay.
