Ill make this simple, the food was good but my biggest issue was with the service of the restaurant. The only reason I made my reservation was for my boyfriend's birthday and it was not acknowledged at all. I made sure to put in my reservation notes that it was his birthday and also mentioned to our server as she was taking our order. However at the end of our service and once l finished paying and gave over a 25 percent tip I asked our server what do they typically do for birthdays, and she replied with saying a dessert with a candle is usually brought out. I then mentioned again that it was his birthday and all she said was "Oh well I didnt know, sorry." This was very upsetting I was at least expecting for her to offer to pack the dessert to go but that or anything to possibly make it up did not come up in the conversation. So I don't recommend this place for a nice birthday dinner celebration.

Friendly service in a comfortable setting. Innovative cocktail menu. Food was top notch. Highly recommend the salmon tartar if for nothing else just for the rice cake they serve with it. Only knock is it is pricy. Expect to pay.

The food and service was good, but the restaurant was very packed and loud. It felt like you were on top of your neighbor and couldn’t get out without bumping into them. We could hear every word of our neighbor’s conversation.

We were going to Capital One arena for a 2 PM sporting event. Clydes is always our “go to” but it’s always so noisy and crowded there so we thought we should try something new. The Smith menu caught our eye. Traditional brunch style items along decent salads and sandwiches. Plus fun cocktails. The place was packed, but it wasn’t super noisy. Our server was very attentive. We really enjoyed our lunch there and we will definitely be going back

Brunch menu includes a free brunch cocktail. Food was great. Big menu with a lot of options.

We went before a Caps game and it was packed but that didn’t stop service from being great. Cocktails, oyster appetizer and entrees were delicious. Great ambiance. Can’t wait to go back.

The food and service were both very good. But this restaurant is LOUD. Conversation, even at a 2-top, is nearly impossible.

Making a booking was key as we were there just before a Capital's home game. Even with the restaurant full of jerseys, our server was wonderful, repeating things and checking in with each end of our long table, and making sure drink orders were filled promptly. Dinner and dessert were tasty, and splitting the checks at the end of the night was a breeze. Great spot to gather in DC.

We had a business lunch on a cold and quiet Friday, so it wasn't very crowded. The food was good and the server was pleasant and available. Open kitchen with bistro feel. Would visit again.
