I never usually rate restaurants, but time and time again, I find myself disappointed after dining here. Today's experience was worse than usual with poor service, a plain kids burger being $20 (almost the same price as the main course burger) and how loud it was inside because of a work happy occurring in the bar. Incredibly average for the prices on the menu!

Everything was pretty good! Waiter was friendly Appetizers and entrées were good. I thought the wine was overpriced though.

Made a reservation for brunch and when we arrived there were plenty of tables open on the patio. The weather was amazing so we requested outside and told they had "near an open window available." I replied again with preference for outside and received a very gruff and unpleasant response from the hostess (three young ladies standing at the hostess stand all chatting with one another and not a customer in sight so perhaps they didn't want to be interrupted to actually do their job?). Reluctantly, they seated us outside. Still unsure why the snippy response but thankfully our waiter was amazing!! He was cheerful and attentive...offered still and sparkling water along with bread service...took our order with enthusiasm and a smile. Food arrived in a timely fashion and at first glace left me concerned. My companion ordered the avocado toast which looked amazing and turned out to taste just as good. I ordered the shrimp and grits and immediately regretted the decision when the dish was placed in front of me and what was in the bowl was just as white as the bowl. It tasted as unappealing as it looked. I'm originally from the south and with culinary training so know a little of what I speak of...this was a huge disappointment. White grits, white shrimp, with an overcooked white egg on top...all with bland taste to match. The grits were advertised as having jalapeno and cheese...neither were present. The shrimp tasted boiled in absolutely no seasoning, and the eggs (said to be "baked") were cooked to a hard boiled consistency with dry, chalky yolks. I've had shrimp/grits at many restaurants and made them many times msyelf...by far the most bland and flavorless I've had!! Will NOT order them again. The avocado toast was superb, fresh avocado, bacon, and two perfectly poached eggs. I've dined at The Smith previously and hope this was a one off experience. But can safely say I do NOT recommend shrimp/grits from the brunch menu.

The food was incredible but the service was slow. Our waiter disappeared a lot.

Been here many times over the years. The place.has a poor price/quality relationship. Specials and mussels and French fries consistently good but at $29.95 is a reasonable price point but other menu items makes it less of a value than in 3023,2022,2021. I get it food costs have impacted rest businesses but this place seems to increasing faster than others.liquor- $40 for a very small of house white. And normal cocktails at $15 or so puts it over the top. The so called server that worked every other table than ours with poor service did not add to the experience. The GM is cordial. and pleasant. I will rethink coming back for an another try. A$14.00 chocolate sundae was good but net worth $14.00

Quintessentially corporate dining. Everything seems completely scripted. And I’d anything happens “off-script” - warm rose, dirty fork, only want still water - everyone gets flustered.

Great food and service but the acoustics are awful, perhaps the worst in the city. Very hard to hear.

Attentive service. Enough menu selections to provide options for picky eaters at the table. Recommended the Bebimbap - tasty! Noise level is painful. It's easier to text your conversation than yell it.
