One of the best restaurants in NJ. Food is terrific every time we go and the service is always excellent. I wish we lived closer, we would probably be there every week!

It was a very, very busy Christmas Eve dinner. We had a reservation, so there was almost no weight for a table. The service was great. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming, even on Christmas Eve. Everyone at our table loved their dinner. The appetizer was also fantastic. I highly recommend the homemade gnocchi. Will definitely go back again.

Got prior to reservation to get a drink, bar service Was very poor. Didn’t get attended to for at least 10 minutes. Then had reservation for dinner and was not attended for at least 20 minutes of the dinner reservation at which point we left because the priority to service was lacking. Extremely disappointed in the restaurant considering it was a dinner reservation; will never recommend!

Third time I was there. Food is consistently excellent and service is very friendly. On one of my visits, I had the Adult Grilled Cheese- delicious. Their Shrimp and Mussels Fra Diavolo was spicy and seasoned perfectly. You can't go wrong with the Wild Mushroom Ravioli. A great place.

This is our second time at The Smashed Olive and the food is fantastic. We could come here multiple times in the future and always get something different because there are so many amazing options. The whipped ricotta is incredible and so is the goat cheese and mushroom gnocchi. It’s holiday season and they have really fun and delicious festive drinks. We will definitely be back!!

A great experience - have been about 5 times and never disappointed. The food is amazing with a wide ranging menu, and service is excellent. Those factors alone earn 5 stars but as an above and beyond - after a wine glass broke at the very end of a recent meal there, the manager insisted on remaking all dinners free of charge! Even when we tried to decline the generosity since we had mostly finished eating, they still had the food made and wrapped to go. OUTSTANDING customer service and will absolutely be back again!
