Great choice on the menu. Had the garlic butter chicken off the specials board with chips salad and colslaw, it was delicious. The cookie dough and ice cream was also delicious. Would definitely recommend this place. Staff were friendly and polite. Will definitely return.

Saturday night and they didn’t have any pies, pizzas, sausages or steak. No explanation and only told when trying to order. We had the crispy chilli beef as a starter, which was just strips of plain beef with some raw chopped chilli on salad leaves. Not at all how it was described. Main was pork belly which was just a thick layer of fat, rubbery rind and a thin layer of meat. Not the slow cooked, melt in the moth it should have been. Totally tasteless. Others around us had meals that were cold, items missing and not even the right glasses to serve drinks in. Real shame because it has great potential. Definitely one to avoid unless they get their act together.

We enjoyed a lovely freshly cooked meal with friends. There was a good selection to choose from on the menu. Such friendly welcoming staff. The Crown is a lovely village pub.

The staff were all charming and very obliging, nothing was too much trouble. The chocolate brownie was the best I have ever had.Breakfast was an excellent start to the day and was high quality.

We went to the Crown on a friends recommendation and we weren't disappointed. We went on a Thursday evening which was their steak night. We both had the steak and it was cooked to perfection for both of us - I like mine well done and hubby likes his rare. We had three courses and all three were delicious. The lady who served us was brilliant and nothing too much trouble. We will definitely be going back and I have already recommended it to another friend.

A lovely meal out with the family. The kids meals for £1 are amazing value and enjoyed by my 3. There was a bit of a delay between their food and ours but when it did arrive it was really nice, home cooked food. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the chips are the best chips I’ve had in a long time!

We went for Mothers Day lunch. We got in on a late booking and were pleased we did. Food was lovely, and there was plenty of it. The roast lamb was very good. Staff were friendly, polite and efficient, considering it was a busy Sunday. Good choice of ales too.

We visited on a very quiet Monday. The landlord was friendly and helpful and the pub characterful. We ordered the fish and chips which were tasty, good proportions and a reasonable price. Only downside was the 40 minute wait for food which seemed excessive as we were the only diners. The pub also has rooms which the landlord kindly showed us. They were fairly small but very reasonably priced and certainly somewhere to bear in mind when next in the area.
