Welcome back everyone! LARGE PARTIES (over 10 people) text 970.784.6606 - very important: do not make 2 separate reservations, you will not sit together. If it looks like there is no space through OpenTable, give us a text! I bet we can find something for you. The Slogar has been offering a unique, three - course family style, skillet fried chicken dinners in CB since 1984. You just have to choose your "entree" - all the sides are already chosen for everyone : handmade baking powder biscuits, mashed potatoes, creamed corn, & chicken gravy have been a CB tradition for both locals & visitors alike....and tomato chutney! Steak, ribs, & vegetarian options also available. Ian & Ayla Scott have been the owners of The Slogar since 2018. They bring charm, experience, & a whole lotta love to your table. Enjoy a crafted cocktail at the bar with a bar snack from our parlour menu! We'll see you soon at Cluckingham Palace.

Good food, great service, and leftovers for another meal. Liked the fact that our party had a small private area for dining.

It's one of our favorites to eat at when we are in Crested Butte. Always good, always consistent and always pleasant and helpful staff.

The food is still wonderful! Family style portions. I do have to say I miss the previous atmosphere and decor. Previously the home cooked food was served in a warm dark cabin like environment. They still serve on blue willow patterned plates though! Chicken was delish!

It was hugely disappointing. We had an 8 p.m. reservation on a Saturday night. They were out of the ribs and ribeye, so the Barnyard Platter was unavailable. The chicken wings had feaher filaments on them. The prices listed on their website were 10+% higher at the restaurant. The ice cream sammie was awful, not a single member of our foursome finished the cut-in-half piece we were served. AND it was grossly overpriced. I will never return and advise anyone to avoid this place.

I rarely write reviews unless it’s something extremely good or bad, unfortunately this experience fell to the latter. Most dishes tasted and looked canned or prepackaged. The fried chicken ($49) was bland albeit moist, and the “ribeye” ($61) was a cold and chewy and both looked and ate like a discount strip steak. Even the salad seemed store-bought, served with plastic tongs. Dessert? A Blue Bunny ice cream bar, straight from the wrapper. Service was disorganized, and the owner’s passive-aggressive response to the Google review only made things worse. Overpriced food and abysmal quality—definitely not worth it.

Best fried chicken I have ever had. We arrived early but were seated. The extras were on the table. Cole slaw, salad, tomatoes and cottage cheese. With the entree there was mashed potatoes gravy, biscuits and cream corn. Good draft beer selection. Service was excellent . Server was Andy
