The staff were very helpful, my preference for no cream was accomodated with no fuss. We were able to have a table in the garden and very much enjoyed the ambience. The food was nicely served and very tasty, Especially the sausage roll! We would recommend and will revisit.

Afternoon tea, the food was presented on tiered cake plates it was not very impressive for £35.00 - especially when advised that each serving was meant for two people to share. the sandwiches were uninspiring half slices of bread - not the dainty triangles one would expect. Each platter had 4 large scones they were warm and well risen, but there was only one teaspoon of jam and a small teaspoon of cream hardly enough for half a scone! The cake selection was also very poor. Overall, I was very disappointed especially as we had overseas visitors - very poor value.

Thank you taking the time to leave your feedback for my team and I. I was sorry to learn you had a less than perfect dining experience with us. I was somewhat taken aback with your comments relating to visit and regarding value. Our sandwiches are portioned, into the traditional tea sandwich fingers, rather than triangles and each portion of afternoon tea is intended for one person, and not intended to share. We serve each afternoon tea with jam and cream in a ramekin and my team would happily replenish throughout tea service. My team are normally very well versed on this, and I am sorry for any misunderstanding that occurred; resulting in you thinking that each afternoon tea serving was meant for two, as this simply is not the case. I am also sorry that you did not bring this to my attention whilst you were dining with us so that I could have intervened at the time and spoken with you to ensure that this was resolved, whilst you were at the hotel; rather than you left feeling disappointed. Once again, thank you for review and I do hope we get the opportunity to welcome you back soon.
