The Slaughters Country Inn offers delicious food, simply prepared, using the finest Cotswold produce. The menu is complemented by a wide selection of local ales, showcasing the best the region has to offer.

Not to be missed is the sharing platter, made up of local cheeses and meats, the day’s selection of breads and The Slaughters Country Inn pickles. Guests can also expect to see dishes on the menu such as Gloucestershire black pudding salad, rustic country terrine and local fish and chips.

Afternoon tea, including home-made scones and sandwiches, can also be enjoyed on the terrace with a glass of Champagne in the summer months or by the fire with a pot of tea when winter draws in.

    What a lovely place. We were there for two nights and was not disappointed. From the time we entered to the time we left we were treated as if we were the only guests there. The breakfast was great, good choice and cooked as you like it, dinner was nice, a little under seasoned for me but that’s a personal choice. Room was very comfortable and overlooking the gardens (Holland Room) Location was perfect for travelling around. The only complaint I have is after your meal there are only two settee’s where you can sit have have an after dinner drink or even if you were not having food, no where to just relax. Everything seemed to be in dining. Overall, great and would definitely return 👍

    Delicious food (including a kids’ menu) and attentive waitstaff in a peaceful setting. We went right at lunch opening time and had the place to ourselves at first. It picks up around 1 pm, so it’s a good idea to book ahead of time.

    We found the Slaughters Country Inn, situated in a perfect location. The dinning experience was very pleasant, staff were efficient and friendly. Whilst the menu was varied, consisting of snacks, traditional pub dishes and an ala carte section. All together a very pleasant visit.

    Food ok but a bit pricy for a small Brie starter. Drinks a little overpriced but I do appreciate it is an expensive part of the country

    Largely a positive experience. Most of the food was delicious and they were very careful about checking gluten content for the coeliac in our party. There was an issue with the vegan creme brulee which was replaced and all the servers were charming. The acoustics aren't hearing aid friendly but the decor is soft , subtle and comfortable. I would go again...though it's not a cheap date!.

    Beautiful setting Spacious,airy and clean dining room. Pleasant,friendly and efficient waiting staff. Delicious food and good selection for children. Very reasonably priced. This was our first visit and we will definitely be returning

    My husband and I ate here as we are staying at the inn. We have been very impressed with the quality and inventiveness of the meals and the excellent service. I had the fish of the day and my husband had the fried cod, both very good. We had the sticky toffee soufflé for dessert, which was fabulous. Don’t eat a meal here without that dessert.
