The Slaughters Country Inn offers delicious food, simply prepared, using the finest Cotswold produce. The menu is complemented by a wide selection of local ales, showcasing the best the region has to offer.

Not to be missed is the sharing platter, made up of local cheeses and meats, the day’s selection of breads and The Slaughters Country Inn pickles. Guests can also expect to see dishes on the menu such as Gloucestershire black pudding salad, rustic country terrine and local fish and chips.

Afternoon tea, including home-made scones and sandwiches, can also be enjoyed on the terrace with a glass of Champagne in the summer months or by the fire with a pot of tea when winter draws in.

    We found the Slaughters Country Inn, situated in a perfect location. The dinning experience was very pleasant, staff were efficient and friendly. Whilst the menu was varied, consisting of snacks, traditional pub dishes and an ala carte section. All together a very pleasant visit.

    Food ok but a bit pricy for a small Brie starter. Drinks a little overpriced but I do appreciate it is an expensive part of the country

    Largely a positive experience. Most of the food was delicious and they were very careful about checking gluten content for the coeliac in our party. There was an issue with the vegan creme brulee which was replaced and all the servers were charming. The acoustics aren't hearing aid friendly but the decor is soft , subtle and comfortable. I would go again...though it's not a cheap date!.

    Beautiful setting Spacious,airy and clean dining room. Pleasant,friendly and efficient waiting staff. Delicious food and good selection for children. Very reasonably priced. This was our first visit and we will definitely be returning

    My husband and I ate here as we are staying at the inn. We have been very impressed with the quality and inventiveness of the meals and the excellent service. I had the fish of the day and my husband had the fried cod, both very good. We had the sticky toffee soufflé for dessert, which was fabulous. Don’t eat a meal here without that dessert.

    Felt sorry for the staff as they were so understaffed which made it next to impossible for them to provide anything but the minimal service. Had to find someone to take our order/found our own cutlery/didn’t get asked for additional drinks/no check back after food arrived so couldn’t get any gravy for roast which was cold when served/veg so overcooked it was a stodgy pot sat in water. Beautiful surroundings but extremely disappointing. The waiting staff that we did see were very nice, just completely overwhelmed by the numbers of customers.

    It was much more difficult to accommodate my food allergies here. The service was kind and considerate.
