The Simpson complements Brooklyn’s new restaurant age from Williamsburg to Prospect Park, by offering a seafood friendly Caribbean/Soul Food cuisine and an inspired Classic Cocktail menu infused with the nuances and flavors of the Afro Diaspora’s spice market. The Simpson will embody the soulful vibes and beats of the borough, while capturing the exuberance of the New Brooklyn Renaissance through Art, Music, Mixology and Cuisine. The service will be reminiscent of wherever you call home, as Chef’s “Cooking with Love” menu will be completed with with an array of delectable pastries and desserts, yummy mock tails for the non-drinker, and creative elixirs for the adventurous. Menu highlights include Hennessy Fried Shrimp, Bourbon Bbq, 5 Cheese Macaroni Pie, and Wings.

I arrived there with my party of 6 around 6:30pm and I spoke to the host and she responded that she she saw my reservation and that we would be seated soon. Then, when they called us, they gave us the wrong table because we wanted to be seated at the high top we also had to wait an additional hour and we didn’t get our seats until 7:30pm. Then, the waitress took our orders but she failed to mention additional cost per drink per Flavor so fair warning on the Drinks. One of my guest ordered the drink named “the ultra” And another called The notorious and both drinks were awful and tasted weird. We requested for another drink and then overcharged for them. When I requested for a bday shout out since the event was for a birthday part which I stated on the reservation they waited until we got the bill and then sang him a bday song. Overall the food was amazing with great flavors and spices but the music could be better and also. The staff was really unorganized especially on a busy Saturday night. I loved the design and details of the restaurant but unfortunately between the poor maintenance of the ladies bathroom and people yelling I honestly don’t see myself coming back and I would not recommend people to dine but definitely do take out because the food is worth it

This is my fourth time back to Simpson’s restaurant my visit today to the restaurant was to take my niece today is her birthday. I ordered the curry goat with white rice and steamed vegetables. My niece ordered the jerk shrimps with rice and peas and steamed vegetables. I had a rum punch and my niece had piña colada the staff sang happy birthday to her and also gave her a slice of delicious red velvet cake once again. Everything was delicious and we enjoyed the food very much. Thank you once again for great service. 👏🏽👏🏽

The best Caribbean food I had in the states , can’t wait to go back! Rum punch was amazing !

You can’t go wrong with the food it was very busy due to the Usher concert so our server was a little all over the place lol but still professional and polite overall a great dining experience

My family and I came here for an early dinner before the Liberty game. The hostess was polite and seated us immediately. Our waitress (Sharlene) was amazing and attentive, and we did not have to wait very long to be seated. Several members of the staff and the owner asked us if we needed anything and whether or not we were enjoying ourselves. The food and drinks were very tasty and flavorful (rum punch, lemonade, jerk tacos, spicy shrimp, peas and rice, cabbage, codfish fritters, and plantains). We followed it up with an excellent dessert (black cake). The prices were compatible to the quality and flavor of the food. We can't wait to go back. Thanks to everyone for a great meal and a positive, chill vibe.

The place is nicely decorated. Food is amazing as are the drinks. Had the coconut shrimp, macaroni and cheese, and ackee and salt fish as appetizers. The jerk salmon was delicious - I cleaned my plate 😋 Rum punch was great!!!
