   The staff that served us were lovely. The restaurant was empty, large and no atmosphere, the chairs were uncomfortable and the tables in poor condition. The tea and coffee were weak, the sandwich fillings were ok but the bread was not particularly fresh. The scones were a bit thick and stodgy, the cakes were too rich and heavy and the strange rum cream was awful!! Definitely the worst afternoon tea we have ever had. How hard is it to get this right?!! We were given a voucher for the afternoon tea because we got married there many years ago so we didn’t complain for that reason, had we been paying we would have complained and probably refused to pay the full amount.

   Really excellent food and the staff were very attentive and knowledgeable. Food was lovely and hot and freshly cooked. Good value for money as well.

   Really good food and well prepared. Lamb Ragu's really enjoyed at our table and my haddock and chips was fantastic.

   We had booked as we were staying there for our Anniversary. We were greeted and seated promptly. The restaurant is clean and lovely and like the fact that you can watch the chefs preparing the meals. We were given a complementary glass of champagne for our celebration. Not quite sure how they knew. The food was very good, presented beautifully and was the perfect temperature. The menu is slightly limited which is fine but could be expanded to make it better. The waitress seemed to be a bit unsure of herself unlike her counterpart. She was pleasant and friendly none the less. Overall a very lovely evening for us.

   Enjoyed a first class evening meal at The Shorecrest. Food was excellent, served piping hot & as ordered. Service was very efficient & courteous. Surroundings very comfortable. All in all a very enjoyable experience.

   I’ve been coming to this place for years and still it doesn’t disappoint. All the staff are great and attentive and always smiling. The food is lovely and the overall atmosphere is walking . Keep up the good work .

    Possibly the best roast we have ever had ! Exceptional quality and large portions ! Very very good
