Family Sunday lunch booked as the roast here is so good. The food didn’t disappoint once again & was enjoyed by all. Unfortunately the service let it down a bit. We didn’t get offered any desserts or extra drinks which was a shame but we were asked to vacate our table within the next 10 minutes as our two hours were up. On my booking a party of 5 or more it says you get 2 & 1/2 hours but this wasn’t the case on Sunday so we felt a bit rushed & left without dessert. Fortunately this didn’t ruin our occasion but we did feel a bit disappointed.

Another lovely Sunday lunch at The Ship. Took along a couple of friends who were visiting the area and they really enjoyed the beef and the lamb roasts. Great friendly service - The Best !

Heerlijk, vegetarisch gegeten! Mijn man had vis wat ook heerlijk was. Gezellige pub vriendelijke bediening. Zeker een aanrader.

The food here is excellent, it really exceeds expectations and is worth a drive or taxi journey to experience. Lots of good beer on tap. Excellent service. Didn’t feel pretentious or stuffy, just great food in a comfortable setting.

Superb. Amazing food (and lots of it) served by brilliant, attentive and friendly staff, in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Our party was a birthday treat and there were seven of us, including a four year old. All had the Sunday roast and all enjoyed hugely. The roast is the best around with plenty of vegetarian options. Extra gravy provided on request! Very highly recommended.
