'perfect English country pub', serving exceptional food in our bar and dining room and a beautiful sunny beer garden. Join for snacks Tuesday – Saturday, with the full food menu available at lunch and dinner Wednesday – Sunday, including roasts with all the trimmings on Sunday afternoons.

Host was very amicable and passionate about the provenance of the produce. The food was of a very high quality, full of flavour and well presented. The pub had a lovely atmosphere even though it wasn’t busy, we had a very warm welcome (the beer was good too!). Definitely not your average “pub” meal. We hope to return soon.

We had an absolutely fantastic meal here on Saturday. We were incredibly well looked after by all servers and enjoyed delicious meals. We had a few allergies in our party and nothing was too much trouble. Our dishes were capably tweaked where needed to avoid any allergens and we were never made to feel difficult or embarrassed. The sample menu doesn't do justice to the flexibility they offer. We would come here again any day - brilliant staff, excellent food & great ambience. Highly recommend - 10/10.

Our absolute favorite place to eat in all of Oxfordshire. I’m vegan (my husband isn’t), and we both always leave feeling satisfied with the excellent value for such amazing food. The atmosphere is a perfect blend of relaxed and sophisticated in a beautiful old English cottage gastropub. Matt, the owner, is an incredible host, and we always enjoy catching up with him.

One of the best things about this eatery is that there is no music!!! You can hear the conversation and there is nothing that can influence your mood. The staff were very helpful and the food was good. Only comment on that front is that it was very vegetable light. But overall, a very pleasant experience.

Appreciate the pub is a small village pub but I would prefer dining away from the bar area as it was very noisy at times and I have poor hearing in noisy environments. However food was very good. Buratta and tomatoes needed a little seasoning and olive oil.
