                                                            Lovely rustic eaterie in a picturesque village just outside Burford, in the Coswolds. Team very welcoming and enthusistic to tell us who and where they got their meat & produce from. It was indeed worth the hour & half journey from various parts of the country to chat over a delicious lunch. I have already passed on your details to other friends. Excellent

                                                            We visited for the second time, and we were not disappointed. The food was lovely again. We had the slow cooked lamb shanks which were delicious. Sweet this time was sticky toffee pudding which was excellent combined with toffee sauce and creamy ice cream.

                                                            The fish goujons and frites was exceptional. The Eton mess and sticky Toffee pudding for dessert was also 10/10. Atmosphere was warm and friendly and Matt (landlord) extremely welcoming and attentive. The garden is beautiful and was perfect for enjoying a drink in the sunshine. Great selection of wines, gin, lager and ales. A fabulous place for food and drinks

                                                            Matt, the host and Landlord gave us an excellent welcome and saw to our every need. The menu was excellent and was tailored to what was available and in season. Matt gave excellent suggestions for our three course lunch. Drinks were all available the real all was well kept and tasty, for those driving or choosing not to drink alcohol there were many alcohol free options available. Overall an excellent experience.

                                                            Overall excellent, the food was cooked superbly and the hospitality was very Welcoming. More vegetarian dishes would be fantastic. Definitely re-visit The Shilton Rose & Crown.
