First time diner at The Sheep and Penguin for Sunday Lunch and can fully recommend it. The roast dinners were excellent and included a variety of perfectly cooked seasonal vegetables and an amazing cauliflower, leek and broccoli in cheese - all included in the price. Staff were all very helpful and welcoming. Can't comment on the starters or desserts as the portion size for the roasts plus vegetables are such that neither were required. Although it is away from the center of Wells definitely worth a visit. Also, dog friendly. Will be back to sample the regular daily offerings.

Wonderful staff and a great atmosphere. A great Sunday roast experience with fantastic food...portions were huge! Doggie bag made it back home for dinner nibbles!! A ramp in the doorway would have made my score 5 stars....as it was difficult maneuveing my daughters wheelchair single handed up the step. Overall a great restaurant! Can't wait to go back!!

Lovely food. We had all the veggie and vegan options which though not numerous were delicious. Meaty dishes looked good too. Excellent service. Sure to be back!

Amazing food and service is so friendly. The desserts are a particular highlight for me. Just need another excuse to go back now!

Enjoyed a very generous and excellent quality Sunday roast lunch. The food was of the very best quality you can find in a pub. Portions were generous and arrived hot. There was a long delay waiting for dessert - I think someone forgot to enter the order in their system. The pub is decorated a bit more like a wine bar and lacks a bit In atmosphere. However staff were friendly and I would return again as the food was so good.

Not a fan of putting service charge on the receipt. Felt obligated to pay it.

A very enjoyable evening with friends, very decent food, a warm, convivial decor, helpful and attentive staff. I wouldn't hesitate to revisit.

Unfortunately I found the service to be quite bad. There was one member of staff who was quite attentive however I was ignored when I walked into the building. I did not think it seemed to be that busy but there were a few things that were lacking. When the mains were brought out the member of staff just walked away and didn't come back. We didn't have any cutlery so I had to go and ask. Nobody checked how everything was and service was extremely slow with drinks. I also asked for another plate and this was also forgotten. I feel as though the staff are regularly experimenting making new drinks and forgetting there customers.
