The Shanty offers rustic appeal with great-tasting food. It is the ideal spot for a quick midday bite or relaxing dinner with friends. Live music on the weekends ensures an entertaining experience. The Shanty's building was reconstructed in 2010 with reclaimed barn wood from the area. The restaurant was also featured on the hit show Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, as well as numerous other outlets, such as Food Network's "Let's Dish", NBC's "Around Town" and ABC's "Windy City". With an continuously evolving menu of customer-inspired dishes, The Shanty aims to please their guests. A top favorite is the whiskey shrimp appetizer, which includes fresh jumbo shrimp in The Shanty's signature Jack Daniels cream sauce. Another hit is the tequila and orange grilled salmon.

Kudos to your staff. From the time we walked to the time we left we felt welcomed. Our steaks were perfect and delicious. Get the vesuvio potatoes.

Out of 5 of us 3 enjoyed their experience. 2 not so much. It took awhile to get service and order drinks. The noise level was loud. We had a oarty of 5 and I was happy we were seated at a round table. It was very hard to carry on a conversation unfortunately. We probably won’t be back

Met my old business partner and 2 key ex employees for a great Saturday lunch experience 3 of had the ahi tuna steak Right portion size and everything was great Michelle was our server and was fantastic Very professional , engaging and stopped by to check on us The right amount of times She was top notch

This place is loud!! The bar area is best - the rest of it has tiny spaces loaded with seating and families. The staff is super nice but service is not great. Definitely not a date night because it’s so loud you’re not having real conversations. But the food good and the prices are right.
