Food was excellent and service was good. We ate the bar area which was comfortable a d had a decent atmosphere.

Lovely local community owned pub in a delightful village. Very helpful staff and friend throughout. Would recommend.

Really lovely atmosphere. Food was good, only missing a five star as the vegetables were tough. Starters amazing, don’t miss out. Service was a little slow, but this was because it was busy. Will return again.

Food as always very good and so much choice, the specials are particularly good. Staff all very friendly and professional Lovely Lunch on a Monday - which is another bonus as open when other pubs closed.

The staff in the restaurant were very friendly, polite and obliging. Our initial table in the conservatory, for our age group averaging 72 years of age, was an impossible position for making any conversation viable due to the high level noise. To move though, presented the staff with no problem whatsoever and we managed to relocate to the far end on the bar area. There was one table available. The food choices were varied, including specials. The food was good quality. The prices were fair perhaps however, in some cases, like the vegetarian curry there were few vegetables and the flavour could have been better. A personal comment. A lively happy atmosphere but acoustics proved too much for our group of four in the restaurant area.

My partner had the prawns and crayfish. It looked particularly unapetising - a pink mess basically. It may have tasted fine I was too embarrassed to ask. I had the chicken skewers. The chicken was dry with bits of lemon grass embedded in it that were indestructible. the satay sauce had a nice kick to it but looked very unapetising. The chips were great!
