The Seafood Bar is located in the heart of Soho, London. We are a modern seafood restaurant that offers a wide range of the freshest seafood. It's our dream to provide our guests incredible seafood, and we're living that dream.
The owner, Fons de Visscher was a respected fishmonger for 27 years in Helmond; a small city in the Netherlands, when he decided to start a new adventure. Driven by his passion for fish and great wines Fons created The Seafood Bar. The first restaurant opened its doors in 2012 in the Netherlands and now in 2021 we have opened our doors in London.
From our fresh day boat Fish, Lobster's, Crab's, Oyster's to our larger than life seafood platters, all our food is sourced sustainably. We have immense respect for our environment, and do everything we can to sustain it.

The Seafood Bar in Soho has launched a new £1.50 Oyster Happy Hour. Available every day from 3pm to 5pm, the new restaurant serves oysters for just £1.50, celebrating the delicious oyster. Add now a £8.00 Chapel down sparkling wine per glass for Happy hour! On the menu, The Seafood Bar offers a good selection of oysters from West Mersea, Lindisfarne, Maldon and Gilardeau in France. A glass of champagne is suggested to wash the oysters down, or a glass of The Seafood Bar’s own Ocean Bloody Mary, comprising vodka, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco and spiced tomato juice, served with an oyster of its own.

Review: Disappointing Experience I recently visited this oyster bar and unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. As an oyster bar, I expected a variety of fresh oysters, but they only had one type available and ran out quickly. To make matters worse, they were also out of red wine. The food itself was just okay – nothing memorable or worth returning for. The service also left much to be desired. At the end of the meal, the waitress asked me to leave an additional tip, which felt quite uncomfortable. Overall, this was one of the worst oyster bar experiences I’ve ever had. I won’t be returning, and I can’t recommend it to others.

Seafood was served stacked on a plate and difficult to eat. Squid was tough and rubbery.

Adam was an exceptional waiter. We appreciated his service. The food was amazing. It’s a must stop for us when we are in London.

The food was really good, but service was oddly haphazard. We had to ask for everything - for drinks, to order, to pay, etc. We weren't offered dessert or coffee, which was odd. We were sitting right at the front of the restaurant by the door, so it wasn't like we were forgotten as clearly visible, and it wasn't busy. And there was a lot of staff - strange experience as had read really good reviews about the service here.

Lovely place! Visited with my friend for so much neede “kids free” time and it exceeded our expectations! Food was fresh and delicious. Service professional and friendly at the same time. Great atmosphere and strong cocktails! Highly recommend.

Nice place. We sat outside in the sun, had 12 oysters, 2 glasses of sparkly and a beer for £45 including tip. Not bad for central London. Served by the lovely Lily from Oz (think that was her name.) Would definitely come back again for the happy hour.

Outstanding birthday dinner, the quality of the food is amazing. Outstanding service. Reserved table was a choose your own table, not prepped or ready to sit on. The notification for a special occasion was not taken care of. The music is very loud. But all in all a wonderful evening with outstanding food, that is what counts at the end !
