Been here several times whilst on holiday and definitely recommend. Sunday roast was one of the best I've had for a long time. A smaller option would be better for me as I hate wasting food. Hope to visit again before I return home.

Best Sunday roast we have had in ages! So much veg with a variety of side dishes. The roast beef was tender and super tasty gravy. 10/10 would of happily paid more!

Had a great piece of Hake that was cooked very well and with a crisp skin! My other half had a piece of cod,also cooked to perfection with crisp skin! It's all to do with the skin guys:)

Really positive experience, well looked after by the staff and the food was very good. Overall very happy with the meal and ambience of the restaurant, just a shame it was a bit too noisy in the restaurant to have a clear conversation with each other due to larger party bookings.

We are locals and came to Sawmills with visiting relatives. We were greeted by our waitress who was very good. We sat at our table. The glasses on the table were visibly dirty. I ordered pate the bread was so hard I couldn't eat it. I asked for butter. When opened it had clearly melted and had been frozen. I could not spread it it was still frozen. The blt were exceptionally fatty. The salad served was very brown looked and tasted stale. Overpriced for what turned out to be exceptionally poor food

Chicken dish very overpriced,frozen chips and basic uninspired salad.Not a patch on the food at their other establishment The Thatch at Croyde . The waitress was lovely, very attentive and friendly.
