Really positive experience, well looked after by the staff and the food was very good. Overall very happy with the meal and ambience of the restaurant, just a shame it was a bit too noisy in the restaurant to have a clear conversation with each other due to larger party bookings.

We are locals and came to Sawmills with visiting relatives. We were greeted by our waitress who was very good. We sat at our table. The glasses on the table were visibly dirty. I ordered pate the bread was so hard I couldn't eat it. I asked for butter. When opened it had clearly melted and had been frozen. I could not spread it it was still frozen. The blt were exceptionally fatty. The salad served was very brown looked and tasted stale. Overpriced for what turned out to be exceptionally poor food

Chicken dish very overpriced,frozen chips and basic uninspired salad.Not a patch on the food at their other establishment The Thatch at Croyde . The waitress was lovely, very attentive and friendly.

Lovely pub great views and staff. We were only a party of 2 so our table was squeezed in front of the main route in and out of the kitchen which made it a bit noisy and busy but other than that it was good

Great experience… served quickly and attented too regularly throughout.. needed to be away promptly after the meal and host was aware of this and helped.. good food , big portions !

We visited Sawmills a couple of times last year while staying in the area and wasn’t disappointed. We visited again last night and still the food and service was fantastic. You definitely don’t leave hungry! Will no doubt visit again a few more times this week.
