The Salt Line - Navy Yard offers indoor STANDARD seating and OUTDOOR Patio Seating. Our OUTDOOR riverfront patio seating has been winterized and is now comfortably available all year round. The OUTDOOR reservations area has been tastefully enclosed in clear insulated curtains that still provide a scenic river view and is well protected, well heated and honored all weather. Additionally we offer FIREPIT LOUNGE reservations in our large outdoor bar area and first come first served bar, hightop and lounge seating. Please note: the Outdoor Bar area with hightops is covered and well heated but the fire pit and lounge seating is uncovered and so weather permitting. If your desired reservation is not available online or of you have any reservations questions please call the restaurant for more up to the minute information and assistance. For groups larger than 14 contact events@thesaltline.com.

Very disappointed. From out of town and this place looked good online. Most of the food we had was bland, unflavorful: shrimp cocktail, condiments with the oysters, scallops meal, the butter with the rolls. Pork chop was good. Wait service was inattentive after we ordered. Would not go back.

I went for a pre-baseball game lunch with a family of four. The moment we walked inside we were greeted with the friendliest welcome by the host and hostess. Best greeting I’ve ever received in DC! The staff was wonderful and the food was great. Thank you, Salt Line!

I am just not an oyster fan and all the food tastes like oysters. Just a preference. Not seasoned well for me

Less selection of fish than we expected. A lot of shellfish but not many with fins.

We have eaten at the Salt Line several times and had a very nice meal. Unfortunately, this evening wasn't their strongest showing. Service was slow, drinks and special requests were forgotten, and we often felt as if the waitress had forgotten about our table. This may have been in part because or party of 8 arrived in three smaller groups, but it was still disappointing. Despite these disappointments, but food was solid and the view was special. Expecting them to bounce back during our next visit.

Waiter spilled a hot meal all down the back of someone at the table. Only got a business card to call them with the price of dry cleaning. It was also birthdays for two people at the table. I talked with the hostess at the beginning of the meal and she mentioned she would tell the waiter so that dessert could be brought out. That did NOT happen. No dessert was brought until I went up to the waiter himself and he had no idea. Food was mediocre. It was a disappointment.
