The Salt Line - Navy Yard offers indoor STANDARD seating and OUTDOOR Patio Seating. Our OUTDOOR riverfront patio seating has been winterized and is now comfortably available all year round. The OUTDOOR reservations area has been tastefully enclosed in clear insulated curtains that still provide a scenic river view and is well protected, well heated and honored all weather. Additionally we offer FIREPIT LOUNGE reservations in our large outdoor bar area and first come first served bar, hightop and lounge seating. Please note: the Outdoor Bar area with hightops is covered and well heated but the fire pit and lounge seating is uncovered and so weather permitting. If your desired reservation is not available online or of you have any reservations questions please call the restaurant for more up to the minute information and assistance. For groups larger than 14 contact events@thesaltline.com.

Waiter spilled a hot meal all down the back of someone at the table. Only got a business card to call them with the price of dry cleaning. It was also birthdays for two people at the table. I talked with the hostess at the beginning of the meal and she mentioned she would tell the waiter so that dessert could be brought out. That did NOT happen. No dessert was brought until I went up to the waiter himself and he had no idea. Food was mediocre. It was a disappointment.

The lobster roll was delicious, but the fries were a bit soggy (which may have been a good thing in that I didn’t eat them all…)

Very mediocre food and not really worth the price. Service was great though and nice location down by the water.

Not sure if the food was bad due to the late dinner seating. Must say the reviews did not equal to my visit and expectations.

Salt Line certainly has one of DC's best outdoor dining areas. The patio is enormous, covered, and has a view of the Anacostia River with no intervening traffic or street noise. The setting was the highlight of the restaurant. The food was good if not especially memorable. My crab roll had an excellent bun, ample filing that did not have a particularly distinct crab taste, and fries that were clearly freshly prepared. The strawberry pie dessert was quire nice. We had the misfortune of dining on a Sunday evening following what a manager described as the establishment's busiest weekend since the 2019 World Series. As a result, at least two appetizers and two of the three listed desserts were no longer available when we ordered. Perhaps this place is at its best when the Nationals are out of town. (We dined on the evening following a day game at Bigbucks Ballpark across the street.)

Overall the experience at Salt Line was nice. I do think our waitress was nice but she wasn’t as able to locate when we needed her. The food was really nice and overall the employees was nice

My family and I went there for an early Father's Day celebration. The place was packed and the noise level was so high that it made it difficult to hold a conversation without having having to speak up loudly. The service was great and the food was pretty good. Overall a good dining experience. Thank you!

We enjoyed sitting on the patio for Brunch. King Crab Bendict could have had more crab. The fries were delicious and fresh. Service and drinks great.

Cocktails were great and staff were very kind and helpful. However, I found the food to be overpriced and underwhelming. Not a lot of options for dinner. I wouldn’t come back for dinner.
