The Salt Line, the popular DC homage to New England’s iconic fish and oyster houses, brings a third location to Bethesda Row. New England meets the Chesapeake at this beauty of a restaurant with lots of comfy booth seating and an inviting u shaped bar and lounge area. Menu features all the classics and raw bar guests have come to love from the original The Salt Line plus some delicious new surprises from award winning The Salt Line Chef Kyle Bailey and Bethesda Executive Chef Eric McKamey.

    Initially, my visit to the Bethesda Salt Line was intended to savor their delectable warm lobster roll, a dish I have thoroughly enjoyed at their other establishments. Unfortunately, the experience at this specific location fell short of expectations as the lobster roll was served nearly cold, contrasting with the piping-hot french fries that were actually very yummy. Regrettably, I do not foresee revisiting this particular branch in the future.

    Nice little restaurant in the middle of town. Parking was very convenient right around the corner. The crab pinto bean dip was fantastic and the lobster roll was amazing. Cilantro shrimp avocado salad was good and the clam chowder was good but very thin not like a thick Chowder soup. The flavor was great! Overall fantastic restaurant would recommend going there!

    Side Panzanella with peach and tomato was very good as was the chowder and coddies. The halibut cheeks and scallops are a bit underwhelming. While the fish was good, the taste was meh - unexciting.

    I celebrated my birthday dinner here. The interior decor was beautiful. The staff were exceptionally kind, and the food was great!

    Quality if the food and drinks was good. I ordered the Lobster Roll, without the roll. Lobster meat was cooked and lightly dressed with mayo, but to my taste, there was an overpowering amount of tarragon in the lobster salad. Who puts tarragon in lobster salad?

    Our go-to restaurant for family get togethers and meet up with friends.  Good food, good service and good ambiance for the value.  With nice weather, we always choose outdoor seating.  Oscar was our server and he was the best; very attentive.
