our local go for if we want to treat ourselves this time for my birthday and instead of going for the normal lovely tapas went for the traditional sunday lunch definately reccomend it as long as you have a big appetite!!!!

The food was amazing, can’t fault it! We had a table of 7 and everyone loved every dish! However the staff are all under 25 and aren’t quite on the ball with drink orders or checking you have the right thing. We could hear the bar staff having an argument mid meal - hire an older manager

Very friendly helpful staff. We opted for the chateaubriand for two which was delicious and cooked to perfection. Accompanying dishes also very tasty particularly the truffle and parmesan chips. Will return soon.

Fantastic lunch menu at The Royal. Decided to sit in the garden to enjoy the sunshine. Staff helpful & polite. Food delicious & good selection. Highly recommend!

Well what can I say this was our first time visiting and it didn’t disappoint. Food was excellent as was the service . Lunch time meal definitely value for money thank you

The staff are very slow, busying themselves with till duties etc and we were waiting a long time to be served and then to refresh our drinks. A quick scour of their area frequently would give them the opportunity to sell more. The food was tasty although one of the dishes came out cold and had to be returned. I find it incredible that you have to order veg and fries say, to accompany your steak, which is already £30 on its own, so add a sauce, and 2 x veg takes it to approx £44! and then 2 wines brings one course to around £60., rather a lot in my view. I find this venue to be fairly expensive and I don't mind paying good money at good restaurants. Not much atmosphere but it was a Wednesday lunchtime and the only welcoming and friendly waitress was at the end when I paid. Would I go again? Might do but not that enamoured.

Couldn’t have been more helpful to be honest. Tapas menu great value and good quality. Well done all 👍 I will revisit if I’m in the area again in the future.
