Lovely restaurant with excellent service but a little disappointed with the kangaroo meatballs that were a bit dry and that two of the normal Tapas dishes were not available today

We had a lovely evening, the only snag was the hand cut chips were a little disappointing-they weren’t seasoned and some had little filling

We are regular diners, & never disappointed. The food is outstanding every time, & the staff are always very friendly & make sure you are very well looked after - highly recommended for all occasions

This was our first time eating at The Royal it will not be the last 'we hope', we met with two friends for a catch-up. The food was excellent, as it was our first experience of Tapas, we read the menu online "as you do", we were a little concern at the cost, but, as we ate mid-week the cost of two tapas and a side was good value for money, the portions were great, between the four of us we had 8 Tapas and 4 sides, this was more than enough for four healthy adults. Enough though about the cost, all our 'Tapas' were delicious any one, I would love as a main meal anywhere else, I will recommend this restaurant to anyone who asks, and many that don't. There is such a great variety of choice, I think everyone would find something to chose.

Very tasty food - lovely variety. Service was very friendly. Tapas plates were quite big so we over ordered a bit, but good to have the variety!

Booked table for 6 for 12.45pm but didn't get seated until 13.25pm 40 minutes later. Staff advised earlier diners were STILL at table despite our booking and made no attempt to either move them along or move them to allow us to take table. We were ushered to the bar to wait despite several of our party being of an age unable to utilise the high bar stools and were left standing unassisted until I complained several times. Manageress was also less than helpful offering no additional assistance or even compensation until requested by me. A very poor dining experience, which spoiled our whole day and could not therefore, recommend this venue to anyone I know personally or professionally.

Friendly welcome, great selection of drinks and food. Had tapas and it was delightful.

Food and service was great. Not many GF options for a meat eater. What I did have was lovely.

We enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch on the 3rd November, the food was very nice and the service was equally good. We have eaten Sunday lunch here on several previous occasions and the standard of food and service has always been well above average. We shall look forward to our next visit.
