We had the lunchtime tapas offer. The food was superbly cooked and expertly presented and we felt was good value for money. The restaurant was very busy which gave a great ambiance. Overall a very enjoyable experience and no hesitation in returning. Highly recommended.

This was the second time we've eaten at The Royal. The food was fantastic on both occasions. I'm a veggie and it's great to get food that's a little different.

I went with my husband for our wedding anniversary after hearing good reviews about the food. I agree the food was nice but not the the extent i would want to rush back. There were quite a few staff and they didn't seem to have thier own tables assigned which meant they kept individually coming over. I do not think we had a whole 10 minutes in peace. I was trying to tell my husband a story about something that had happened and got interpreted three times. We felt rushed and were in and out withing an 1:15 min. I hadn't finished my drink but the card machine was waved under my nose. The staff were pleasant but annoying and it felt like popping out for a quick bite to eat rather than a anniversary date which was a shame.

The service was very friendly and courteous. This was new to me however the tapas was great with loads of choices and house specials. I had two dishes which were cooked exceptionally however the flavours weren’t to my taste, the other two dishes were cooked just as well and tasted amazing
