Solanche, Richard and the rest of The Royal Oak team are extremely proud to offer Michelin starred dining in rural Warwickshire, on the edge of the Cotswolds.

Our food offering is what we like to call ‘proper country food’- wild meats and foraged ingredients from our home area. Our aim is simple: we want to tell the story of our community, the producers themselves and how we’ve utilised their ingredients.

Sometimes a dish will be on the menu for a six week period, fully celebrating the early or late season. Conversely a dish may be fleeting - a week, a service or even just for a single table of regulars - a micro-seasonal snapshot, which gets us thinking and talking with our local community of producers about next years planting or hunting, allowing us to dream about revisiting an idea and developing it further the following year.

We were met by the delightful Solange. & were escorted to our table by Tom. The interior design is cool, clean & sympathetic. Every course was delicious & very well presented at the table by Richard & his team of Sous Chefs. The wine list was short & well selected. We all had a lovely experience & will definitely be back with any other friends interested in good food, service & a relaxed atmosphere

The whole experience was wonderful. The food was delicious and we tasted some things we had never had before.

The food is always delicious but on this occasion they out did themselves! Inventive, full of flavour and in just the right portion sizes - a real treat. With the sun shining in the atmosphere is warm and inviting, matched by the friendly service. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Once again the Royal Oak team have surpassed themselves, with a creative menu and flavours that took me and my partners imagination into another world. Your attention to detail is exquisite and executed to perfection. Thank you for our anniversary dinner, one to be remembered.

Such a relaxed atmosphere. The food is exquisite, every course is just one big surprise presentation and taste wise. Cannot wait to return.

Lovely Michelin star restaurant in a beautiful village, the perfect choice for a special occasion. The food is a set tasting menu but if you don’t like certain things and warn them in advance (eg fish) then they will offer tasty alternatives. The service is great, it’s just a lovely experience. It’s obviously not cheap given the Michelin aspect / quality you get with that, but it’s not the sort of place you would go every week either, so that’s ok. Highly recommended!

A memorable meal. Delicious food with every course. Presentation was 1st class and everything looked as good as it tasted. Service was excellent and very friendly. A real experience. Will definitely go again once I have saved a bit!
