The dining terrace, hotel lobby and reception area are all tastefully and beautifully furnished. A lot of terra cotta coloured and textured in the terrace. The two course meal was outstanding. Will come back again.

Everything about my experience was incredible! Forever craving Salumi & Gnocchi - they are a must try.

Excellent food! They were extremely busy so considering this, the service was still very good. It has a very hip vibe. This is a gem in Picton.

Met friends at the Royal for dinner. Ended up seated in the front bar/cafe area. Not what I had expected.

The food was the pinnacle of the experience. Fresh ingredients and amazing flavour combinations highlight the pasta plate I ordered. Easily in the top ten of all culinary experiences I’ve had in my short 50 years on this earth.

This was our third summer dining at the Royal. Although we’ve enjoyed our dinners in the past, I think this will be our last . First of all, we found the menu choices limited - especially the appetizers and entrèes. I am still dumbfounded that they charge $9 for bread accompanied by 1tsp of their “ Carta di Musica” which is a fancy name for a hummus based spread - hardly enough for 2 people. The Burrata tomato salad was generous & delish - no problems there - however, my hubby’s gnocchi plate for $27 amounted to a kid’s sized portion - not impressed. The tiramisu’s portion and price were also disappointing. We’ve had many in our lifetime. It was okay but nothing to write home about. What was really shocking was the $16 cost for 4 mouthfuls. A total ripoff. Although the service was friendly, we didn’t feel the attention we normally received. It felt like all business this time but perhaps they were short and had to hussle. It took them 25 minutes to bring out our coffees after several reminders - not impressed. Our advice - for better value for your food, dine across the street. Same cost but you won’t go home hungry.

Excellent as usual. Service is next level. And Miss Lucy appreciated being included in the drinks order with her own bowl of water!!

Excellent food. Service was wonderful. The menu was explained to us in great detail. I'd go back again next time I'm in Picton. Wonderful entrees. Burrato Salad was the best I've ever had.

Our reception and service was excellent and comfortably paced . The quality and presentation of food was outstanding..Chef Ponzo's team of chefs are professional and caring . Overall it was a beautiful evening! Thank you.
