We love coming to the Royal for Sunday dinner today not so, behind us was a man who appeared to have had to much to drink, besides being loud he was also using obscenities. We tried to ignore it but it was off putting, there was an older lady sitting in her own no idea how this must have made her feel. No issues with the food nor service just disappointed this was allowed to continue and not addressed by staff who were visible and would have head this so gentlemen, I’m just glad there was no children in the area we were sat in, second issue having booked a table we couldn’t get on to the car park and had to park away from the Royal, to our surprise we expected the place to be really busy given the number of cars in the car park, in fact it wasn’t I’m assuming people were parking for other reasons than using the Royal’s facilities.

Always a great experience at The Royal. It's consistently good, the food is excellent, and the staff are very friendly and professional.

Brilliant as always, we're very lucky as this is our local. Food excellent, service very good, relaxed and enjoyable. Boxing day already booked for the family but will be back before then. Fantastic*****

Very very Expensive food but not very good. £75. for 2ppl To me they are trying too hard better sticking to standard pub food and charging better prices. We won't be going back again

Absolutely excellent. We all had different meals and all said how tasty they all were. Good waiter service with witty banter that added to the excellent summer afternoon feel to the beer garden ambience.

The service was quick, friendly and efficient. The menu selection was well balanced and interesting with lots of choice without being overwhelming. Everything that was served was well presented and tasted great. I had the venison meatballs. My only criticism would be there was not enough gorgonzola to make an impact. Apart from that, a very pleasant experience.

Service was great, but unfortunately the meal was not up to standard, couldnt eat the gammon steak for lots of grissle certainly was not worth the price tag! Would not recommend to friends & family unfortunately.
