Extremely slow service, after ordering waited 30 minutes for a drink, then ordered food which was also slow, but it had got busier after we'd ordered, we then sat another 30 minutes with dirty plates before going to get a dessert menu myself from the bar, very unusually bad service, food was perfect as always, hoping it was a one off and will be back to normal on our return visit.

Sunday roast was excellent - beef- and the whole plate of food delicious. The mushroom wellington - veggie option - was also very tasty and both dishes well presented. The difference in the portion sizes was very noticeable. I would have liked the same veg on the mushroom wellington as in the roast beef dinner. The beetroot in the wellington was lovely - but not many mushrooms. I’ve eaten here a few times and it’s a lovely place with great staff and atmosphere. The food is always so good - I will definitely be keeping it as one of my favourite places to eat. Xx

It was far too busy, therefore the service was slower than normal! The noise level was horrendous! Food was okay but overpriced!

Welcoming was pleasant and drinks order was taken no sooner as we sat down which was great. Our waitress was lovely and food amazing as always.

Really fantastic food. The staff were really lovely. It was a Tuesday night but super busy and they seemed a little understaffed as we had to wait a long time after we’d finished mains. Ambience was lovely, decorated to a high standard and a great vibe.

Never been before but the meal was lovely big thank you to the Chef excellent. Lovely place, and the waitress was friendly also. Would highly recommend and, as Arnie once said... We'll be back!!

Last summer we had meal here and it was dreadful . I think the chef had tipped a bottle vinegar in it. Anyway we vowed not to visit again . However so many people gave it rave reviews we decided to try again. It was delicious, loved the veg. not overcooked, loads of meat very very tasty. We will b back. However as a dog owner and lover I do no want to eat my lunch watching a dog lick his bits. A person friendly area separate to a dog friendly area would be appreciated .
