Foods always amazing. Steaks are cooked to perfection, staff are lovely and very busy. Chairs are slightly uncomfortable . All round very happy and always recommend to others

We went last night for a quick family tea, we saw the Tomahawk special advertised, so I phoned and reserved one and it said it took 45mins to cook, fair enough but from ordering it took 1 1/2 hours to come, then I thought it was a bit lacking of onion rings only 2 for a sharing meal and the steak was over cooked for my liking I asked for medium it was more like medium well done.

Disappointed at the length of time to wait between courses 40mins far too long - watched people arrive after our starters had been taken away receiving their food way before ours told we go down the list because we had starters why are we penalised for having starters?

Staff friendly and efficient. Food was very good, well presented. Evening spoilt by bass from background music, couldn’t actually hear the music, just the constant bass Also, too many dogs, should have a dog free area, preferably the whole inside of the building

Food and quality as always, was fantastic. Service on this occasion was a little slow, but it was father's day, so understandable. We go to The Royal every weekend for breakfast and/ or lunch with our kids, and seldom is there an issue, if at all. Thanks again guys.

As always everything was very good. We chose from the lunchtime menu but have previously had breakfasts and evening meals here as well. The staff were friendly and attentive, the service was efficient and the food was excellent and very good value. Can highly recommend.

We originally wanted to order a roast dinner but were advised they were sold out and we should have been advised this at the time we were seated, which we weren’t. We had already ordered our drinks before we were advised this was the case. The food we ordered as an alternative was lovely, we were both extremely happy with the choice, quality and quantity. In comparison to other eateries in the area it is slightly higher price was, but the location is ideal, a lot of money has been spent on the premises and the pub was really busy, so you would expect to pay on the higher side. Would definitely have another meal.
