    I understand that The Mexicano will be taking over the location due to the fire in its kitchen. Too bad.

    Absolute miss on all accounts... - Waitress was very friendly. Once she made it over to the table. However prior to that after being seated, we didn't see her for almost 10 minutes. The place was pretty cleared out, so no clue what took so long. Again, she was friendly. So, really no issue there. - Bruschetta - Well.. all I can say was that it was interesting. Strips of salami piled high with a mix of some type of hot sauce and hot honey. All things I like. None that work together as a Bruschetta. - Linguine and Clams - Broken shells that were missing clams (weren't very many to begin with), drowning in liquid while smelling and tasting very fishy. Clams should absolutely not have a crazy fishy taste to them (enough to overpower) and you certainly should not be able to smell it across the table. It was like walking into a fish market. Something was very off there. - Short Ribs - This was a terribly made. I knew as soon as I saw a Thanksgiving style light brown gravy smothered all over it. That it was going to be terrible.. If you love pot roast. This is for you. But this is NOT a short rib dish. Short rib should be accompanied by a DARK and beefy sauce similar to a Demi Glace. Not a gravy.. Was it tender? Yes. Was it prepared correctly? No. All in all, we took a few bits of each. Finished our drinks and left thoroughly disappointed.

    The menu was really great! I had a hard time choosing. In the end, I chose the lasagna. It was pretty good, but not the best I’ve had. We had a fantastic waitress, who was upbeat and very helpful in making suggestions. Her name is Laura. I ordered a cocktail which I did not care for. Our waitress checked on us to see how we were enjoying our food and drinks. When I told her I was not really enjoying the cocktail, she offered to take it and let me choose something else, which I did. The cocktail was Vici Martini. The next cocktail I chose was the Limoncello Margarita. Again, I was not very pleased with this cocktail. I decided to sip on it anyway. There was an ingredient that I was not familiar with called Orgeat. I thought that perhaps that was what the ingredient that I did not care for in the cocktail. I asked her if I could have a little taste of that liquor, so that I would know in the future not to order drinks made with it. Laura was so accommodating. I tasted it and realized that was the ingredient that I did not like in the cocktail. It is made with almonds. It’s like a thick simple syrup with a Strong almond flavor. This was our first time going to this restaurant. It was kind of noisy, because there was a large table next to us that had children that were loud. It seems like it could be a good family restaurant to go to. Our reservation was at 6:45 PM.

    Horrible experience due to extremely poor service. We had a party of 6 including 2 small kids and it took an hour to get our food. Manager could have cared less. Our appetizer was taken off the bill when our whole mean should have been comped. .

    Went with friends for restaurant week and all enjoyed their meals. Service was a little off with restaurant not that crowded.

    Great restaurant, good food! The only complaints would be not enough dressing on the wedge and the dessert was being put away before we had a chance to make our sundaes! Very nice server!

    First time @ the restaurant. The noise level was high even though it was not completely full. Server was very attentive & sweet. Attended Restaurant Week - selections sounded good & were very filling. The Sicilian salad was excellent…very fresh! The beef short ribs were OK served on a very small bed of polenta, probably not as tender - fall off the bone I expected. Loved the gelato and toppings! Overall it was a max 3.8 - 4.0.

    Overall disappointment. We came here for a family birthday celebration for restaurant week. We tried the zeppoli which was decent but the marinara was lacking in flavor. We also sampled the eggplant Parmesan which was overcooked and mushy in a marinara that was flavorless. Next came salads, we sampled both. The blue cheese dressing was watered down and also flavorless. The worst part was when dinner arrived. The shrimp Parmesan dish is served with two butterflied fish covered in breadcrumbs and mozzarella. The shrimp itself is very fishy and the breadcrumbs are too thick and not cooked thoroughly leaving a mushy texture. The shrimp are served with a handful serving of vodka alla penne. The pasta was cooked perfectly but the sauce was pointless as it was flavorless. The seafood cioppino was so overwhelming fishy it was hard to eat. I think based on this visit we will not be back which is disheartening because we love all of the other Chef Joey restaurants.
