This is one of my favorite locations to come for a random brunch date with my husband or a perfect spot for a quaint family breakfast. Usually, the valet is extremely friendly and courteous. They are one of the first points of contact for both the hotel, the restaurant or the bar and they were very disappointing today. I understand it's the Christmas season so there's much more traffic than a regular day, but I hold this establishment to a higher regard. My husband and I are one of the few POC that are ever in attendance and we are very observant about mistreatment. The valet both upon arrival and departure had the most aggressive and blunt tone with us but if it was anyone else, they were extremely accommodating and friendly. Upon departure, there was a valet who hit my shoulder pushing past me to open the door for a white woman who had just arrived. I was extremely bothered and I've never EVER received that treatment the times I've been to this establishment before. While I loved the overall ambiance, food, and service INSIDE, I was left with the most dissatisfied and bitter taste both arriving and leaving with the service OUTSIDE. Overall, 0/10 valet experience and 10/10 restaurant experience.

We eat here two to three times a year. Last night was probably the best food we’ve had in the last five years. The bottle of Moet was great. Opening the evening was a plate of four pastries (gougyure?) filled with salmon mousse and caviar. We followed with a Farmer’s Green Salad. My wife had catch of the day. Me? Fried quail. There was not a hiccup with any of these entrees - all were excellent. The desserts - chocolate mousse and an apple tart with ice cream The chef’s gift to the table was a pumpkin soup with coconut milk. I wished that they would make this a regular menu item. One slight flaw. The recipe for the famous Dean Fearing tortilla soup seems to have changed. All in all - an excellent evening. IF. If I could change one thing? Hire a carpenter. Put in a vestibule ahead of the outside entry door. it was cold outside last night, and the drafts that passed through the restaurant are quite cold. All in all - the $$ were well spent.

It was a busy holiday season evening, but still no excuse for protracted waits. The food was ho hum. Not a place to which I’ll soon return.

We went for a special occasion. The space and staff were great. Unfortunately the food missed the mark. The steaks were dry and flavorless. The mushroom soup was tasteless. Overall was very disappointed as we have been many times and were hoping the new chef would create an even better experience. My thought is we were making our way through the courses slowly and they had fired the main courses letting them sit there instead of refiring them. At this price point that shouldn’t happen. We will not be going back anytime soon.

My wife and I always have a great meal when we come to the Mansion. The staff was perfect, and the tasting menu was phenomenal!

The service was very attentive. I wished that the croissant bread pudding had a lot more chocolate chips in it. I didn't get a taste of chocolate at all. The restaurant was decorated for Christmas and was beautiful. The hash browns were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The restaurant was quiet except for the table next to me.

Food ok, was expecting more, Buratta lacked flavor. Halibut ok. Desert just came out of fridge feeling.

My dad flew in from NY for a Thanksgiving visit and we decided on Thanksgiving dinner at The Mansion. The entire place was amazing and the ambiance was perfect. They had the Christmas decorations up and just the aesthetic of the place was gorgeous. The food was delicious. They offered a 3-course Thanksgiving meal and we went with that. The Turkey and sausage were cooked to perfection and the meal came with a few very delicious sides. The mac and cheese side was my favorite and the best I’ve ever tasted. Our server John was welcoming and very attentive. We will definitely go back for dinner again sometime. This restaurant was the best I’ve been to on a holiday in Dallas so far.
