   What a beautiful way to celebrate a birthday! We had such a lovely time at afternoon tea yesterday. It couldn’t have been more perfect. The food, service and ambience were all outstanding. The menu was excellent and I was inspired to make egg salad today! Our server was incredibly personable from the moment we were seated until we left. We look forward to returning soon. An absolute delight.

   We dine at the mansion fairly often and the food is always superb. Today I decided to try something different since I usually get the beet salad and avocado toast or soup, etc. Today, I ask this server about the spaghetti. I was interested in it because of the description of the chili. Being a Texan, chili indicates meat to me. I would never choose a dish with no protein. When my dish came after two bites, I asked the server about the chili. He kind of chuckled and said no it was not meat. I looked at him. He did not offered to get me another dish. he came back and asked how my dish was and I said… It’s just spaghetti and told him I didn’t like it at this point I feel like he should’ve offered to get me another dish. Any upscale Restaurant will do this when they see the customer is disappointed. Honestly, this dish was about the same flavor as I make it home, except I have a protein in it. My husband had the chicken and it was the quality you expect at the Mansion with perfect flavors that blended together. Absolutely delicious.

   This review is for a tea service. The experience was overall very pleasant. It is a more traditional style tea where each guest selects one tea to enjoy throughout the service. Modern interpretations match a recommended tea to each course. That being said, one person in our party did discover a lover for the lychee black tea. We enjoyed ourselves and will go back.

   Came for Sunday brunch while visiting Dallas. Wonderful menu. A terrific server. And a very elegant ans relaxing noon hour. Highly recommend.
