Ce restaurant emblématique qui a ouvert ses portes en 1980 figure encore aujourd'hui parmi les meilleures adresses de Dallas pour fêter une occasion spéciale. La salle somptueuse, rappelant le bâtiment d'origine des années 1920, est composée de voûtes spectaculaires, de vitraux et de détails sculptés à la main. Le menu néo-américain d'inspiration française est tout aussi prestigieux : caviar haut de gamme, homard Thermidor et côte de bœuf grillée avec sauce au poivre de foie gras.

We have eaten here several times over the years and this time it had really gone downhill. The restaurant showed its age, I noticed things that needed to be painted etc. But the true disappointment was the food and how ridiculously long our dinner took. It was an anniversary dinner. We both picked the 5 course tasting menu. It took over 3 hours to complete our meal. All the other tables that were there when we started or that came shortly after us left an hour before us. It took 45 minutes between one course, with no explanation. The food also was disappointing, with the exception of the wagu beef $60 upgrade my husband paid for. But even that was a very small portion. The dessert was particularly bland and not good. I’ve been coming to this restaurant for very special occasions for over 20 years. And after tonight I will not return.

We had a beautiful experience here for dinner last night. Our server Susan was wonderful. She allowed us to take our time and enjoy the meal. Never rushed us. Had always wanted to try The Mansion for dinner and so glad we did. Thank you Susan!

Bland, boring and sad. I haven't had this many pureed vegetables in little swirls since the '80s. We had the 7-course "Discovery" tasting menu. What was there to discover? A velouté that has been done over and over again? A Foie Gras torchon that tasted more of the strawberry gelée than of foie? We both greatly enjoyed the perfectly cooked Wagyu and the Semi Freddo was delightful (kudos to the pastry chef for that and the after dinner chocolates). 'The room is beautiful and service is OUTSTANDING. Excellent bar service.

Service was impeccable! Everyone really went out of their way to make our evening special. Food was great with interesting twists on some classic dishes. The dining room and patio terrace are bright and stunning, while the bar feels so cozy and old world with its dark wood and low lighting. We will definitely be coming back!

We celebrated our anniversary at the Mansion Restaurant, and as usual, the appetizers and the entrees were excellent! The ambiance and staff set the Mansion apart. We enjoyed hearing the band in the background, and the staff was friendly, timely, and professional. We can't wait to come back!
