Welcome to The Rose Inn
The Rose Inn is located in the beautiful rural area of North Warwickshire in the village of Baxterley with stunning views over Leicestershire, Birmingham and on
into the far distance.

The Rose sits opposite the site of the old Baddesley colliery, behind the village green and duck pond with an orchard and large relaxing area overlooking the pond.

Originally believed to be a 'Gentleman's residence', the building dates back to the 18th century and has served as a courthouse, jail, mortuary and for more than a hundred years as a public house.

Just amazing food .Great staff and lovely atmosphere. Only grip today was my knife was a little blunt!! Normally have steak knife but not today.

A First time visit for us with family for Sunday lunch and dessert and it didn’t disappoint. The food was delicious. The beef and pork melted in your mouth and the crackling and Yorkshire puds were chefs kiss. For dessert we opted for some locally sourced ice cream, the salted caramel was up there with some of the best I’ve had. I can see why they’ve been nominated for best Sunday lunch 2024. A little more pricey for a Sunday lunch compared to other local establishments but worth every penny. Service was friendly with a smile, however, we were asked a question 3 times during our meal “everything ok, Do you want more veg/sides/gravy” which felt a bit overbearing, disruptive & repetitive. Just felt a bit too eager to please at times and needed to relax a bit. The ambience was rustic, family friendly and laid back which was nice. It was very loud which made conversation difficult at times. It was also extremely hot, I have no idea why maybe the heat from the kitchen but out party of 4 were sweating trying to eat our Sunday lunch so this was a little uncomfortable. If you go dress in layers so you can eat comfortably. Would we return? Absolutely!

Absolutely fantastic experience! We arrived early, but the rest of party arrived late. The team didn't mind holding our table for us or make us feel rushed at the end. The service was excellent. The food delicious. And there was a lovely atmosphere. I'm looking forward to coming here again!
