The Roebuck Inn is an historic coaching inn with rooms, in the heart of the Sussex countryside where the South Downs meet the woodlands of the Sussex Weald.
We have an extensive range of beers with an emphasis on Sussex Brewers, ably supported by the best small brewers from further afield, and a daily changing menu incorporating wonderful local ingredients, many supplied by our neighbours in the village.

The Sunday roast is immense. I’d say that the cauliflower cheese side is far too big (a meal in itself) but that’s the only criticism.

We had dinner and breakfast here. The service was very efficient and friendly. Portions were very generous and the food was delicious. The skate wing was huge and really well cooked, and the beef and vegetable pie was also very good. The full English breakfast was perfect - something for everyone with a decent quality sausage, bacon, egg, black pudding, tomato, mushroom, baked beans and toast.

Great pub food. Service friendly if slow; only one person front of house so we were glad we arrived early not least as several menu choices ran out, but very good steak pie and fresh vegetables. Pleasant ambience and excellent value.

Excellent service from the moment we arrived with staff going out of their way to deal with the varied requirements of a group of people of ages varying from 12 to 76. Food was served as quickly as could be expected and was well cooked with plentiful portions. A very nice pub with good outdoor areas and an excellent atmosphere

Very lovely food and very friendly staff. Food took a bit longer than I expected to come out but all was warm and delicious. Little bit of an identity crisis in the pub with the ladies bathroom having a fish theme in a deer themed pub it was quite a shock but ignoring that the food was lovely , nice big portions especially with the starter . The starter was large than expected but very much enjoyed. Thankyou for the great experience . We will be back again

The staff were very freindly and welcoming but the pub itself looks old and tired and the food was very under cooked. We had the roast dinners plenty of food on plate just not cooked properly and I am myself a chef so was a bit disappointed. Husband had to wait about 45 mins for the chicken burger which was very plain and bland. Would go again for drinks but not food

We first found this restaurant after going to Drusillas. We drove there from an hour away again today just to eat there as the food is so good! Freshly made and tastes incredible. Very happy and will make the 1 hour drive again just to eat there again.
