Our pub & restaurant aims to showcase the best of Herefordshire food and drink in a unique and environmentally conscious way, supplemented by our own extensive kitchen gardens and foraged from the land surrounding our inn.

    Service was excellent. Staff knowledgable, enthusiastic and friendly. We visited for my husband’s birthday lunch. Food was delicious and he was presented with a surprise taster pudding. The lovely and thoughtful waiter even included a vegan element for me to enjoy. Will look forward to visiting again. Thank you.

    Excellent. Wonderful Sunday lunch. No rush. Good roast beef and trimmings. Nice starters and puds, decent wine list, good ales and outstanding service. Will return

    We had a wonderful evening at The Riverside. From the friendly and knowledgable staff to the delicious dinner, it was perfect. Such a treat to have fallow deer and superbly cooked , the Herefordshire snails have to be tried (and were fantastic) and the sea robin was so good.

    Food and service were very good , however, they put us on a table in the very noisy bar and not the restaurant and we spent most of the meal unable to hear each other. I booked the table about 2 months ago so we weren’t a late booking or walk in. Sadly this rather ruined our experience

    The food is probably the best quality I have ever had. So much care and thought is obviously put into every detail from flavour to presentation. The service is outstanding too. Always impeccably friendly, attentive, and fast even at their busiest. The only less positive point was the noise level last time we were there. A table of six senior people shouted and laughed so loudly the whole time, that I couldn’t make my voice heard to my companion nor the staff and I left with a massive headache. This is obviously no blame of the wonderful staff, just customers’ selfishness. Still going back next week!

    Beautiful location by the river, Especially on a sunny day like today when you can walk in the area and enjoy a drink outside. We ate lunch which was superb, everything fresh and delicious. We took our little Westie with us and had a table in the dog friendly section, it means a lot to us. Highly recommend.
